About the role
The Portfolio Innovation Lead, Digital Peer-to-Peer Engagement is a field based, non-sales role that is responsible for enabling and expanding UCB's capabilities within the ever-evolving digital landscape of Peer-to-Peer engagement and orchestrating its intersection with UCB's overarching Omni-Channel strategy. This unique and highly specialized role is responsible for building Immunology specific content and serves as a catalyst for the identification, onboarding, development, and deployment of UCB Immunology's National/Regional Key Opinion and Digital Opinion Leaders.

This leadership role in Innovation will work in concert with the UCB Immunology brand teams, market access teams, medical teams and global digital transformation teams to identify, align and execute on innovative peer to peer content and innovative solutions/tools deliver it across the most meaningful and relevant channels. Success in this role elevates the UCB Immunology brand and ultimately enables Health Care Professionals and Health Systems to provide unsurpassed value to the Immunology patients we serve.
This individual will assist in building UCB Immunology's leadership position through demonstrated excellence in cross-core collaboration, proactive healthcare industry surveillance and reporting, and an entrepreneurial spirt to source, prioritize and pilot innovative solutions in alignment with UCB strategy. This role will be integral to brand planning, responsible for the appropriation of resources in support of Immunology Innovation initiatives, and accountable for measuring the impact of these initiatives across the UCB Immunology Portfolio.
What you'll do
- Support UCB's Digital Transformation strategy through a highly collaborative, cross-functional approach in identifying, prioritizing, contracting, piloting, and measuring the impact of enabling peer to peer technologies
- Collaborate to innovate and evolve the current UCB Immunology (Rheumatology and Dermatology) Key Opinion Leader (KOL) and Digital Opinion Leader (DOL) Peer to Peer programming to establish more interactive, meaningful, and efficient ways to expand reach through our thought leadership programs
- Develop and lead an annual UCB Innovation KOL/DOL strategy adjacent to the Medical KOL strategy in order to optimize reach and impact at the HCP and Health System level
- Cultivate and deepen relationships with Innovation's KOLs and DOLs in order to develop and execute against the brand teams' Critical Success Factors (CSFs).
- Coordinate all Innovation KOL/DOL meetings and HCP activities at Immunology conferences and work closely with cross-functional teams to maximize impact and ROI for these events
- Effectively train and develop members of the speaker bureau when needed to ensure effective and compliant communication of key educational content
- Budget, plan, and execute strategic plans for medical congress and advisory board meetings with internal teams and supporting vendors to optimize corporate sponsorship and engagement opportunities.
- Evolve unbranded content pathways to orchestrate with Omni-Channel strategy
- Ensure Peer-to Peer engagement platforms have established interoperability with Next-Best-Action and Omni-Channel decisioning engines
- Lead Strategic partnerships between UCB Portfolio Innovation Team and external solution providers to enable UCB brand elevation and UCB branded product differentiation in the Immunology market place
- Proactively seek out and report on Immunology Healthcare related trends and the competitive landscape in Immunology, turning these insights into actionable intelligence
- Facilitate all content development (internally and externally facing) through UCB's Medical, Legal, Compliance and Regulatory processes as required
Interested? For this role we're looking for the following education, experience and skills
- Undergraduate degree required, MBA preferred
- 5+ years' experience in Immunology related sales and digital marketing, KOL and DOL development and/or other directly related roles (Rheumatology and Dermatology strongly preferred)
- Proven excellence in building Proof of Value/Concept initiatives and measuring impact/value
- 3+ years' experience in RFP process, contract negotiations, managing agency and solution partners, and holding these relationships accountable
- Proven ability to source new and enabling technologies
- Experience working successfully across commercial and medical functions to achieve organizational goals
- Prior launch and launch planning experience preferred
