Day to Day Responsibilities:

The intern will be a part of research team looking at metasurfaces for various applications. The day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Modeling, fabrication and characterization of metasurfaces
• Interacting with team members from our Thin Films and Surfaces group as well as from the Optical Physics group
• A final report is expected

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:

• 8am-5pm

Education and Experience:

• Graduate student in Physics, Electrical Engineering or Material Science
• Prior experience modeling nanophotonic devices as well as clear room experience are desirable
• Critical thinking
• Hands-on ability
• Enthusiasm for new topics
• Organized and deliver results
• Ability to interact with team
• Clear communicator of data, observations

Desired Skills:

• Experience with FDTD, RCWA and FEM methods
• Clear-room experience (film deposition, ebeam patterning, dry-etching)

​The range for this position is $1, $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
