Description & Requirements

Maximus currently has a Senior Outreach Counselor opportunity with the Maximus Montana Employment and Training Project. This Project will provide intake, assessment and development of an Employability/Service Plan (ESP) plus case management of participants along with job development, placement, & retention services. Our goal is to equip participants to be successful in the world of work by building their skills capacity, prioritizing employment, and supporting retention.

This remote role involves traveling up to 50% of the time throughout the region and requires residency in the state of Montana.

Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular one-on-one or group training sessions for existing providers, necessitating travel.
  • Attend and actively participate in recruitment events to attract new providers to the program.
  • Handle escalated provider issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Address urgent concerns related to high visibility providers, ensuring swift resolutions.
  • Offer ongoing support to designated providers as assigned.
  • Collaborate with client, fellow contractors, and stakeholders to communicate and implement - operational policy changes.
  • Stay updated on project details and changes.
  • Extensive travel is an inherent part of the role.
  • Fulfill additional assignments as directed by management.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required and 4
    years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • This position requires you to have reliable transportation to travel to other offices within the region.
  • This position requires travel up to 50% of the time.
  • This position requires residency in the state of Montana.
  • Previous Maximus experience preferred.
  • Previous incumbent experience preferred.

Home office requirements:

  • Reliable high-speed internet service
  • Minimum 20 Mpbs download speeds/50 Mpbs for shared internet connectivity
  • Minimum 5 Mpbs upload speeds

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
