In this position, you will be responsible for soliciting, evaluating, negotiating, administering, and advising on contracts for the procurement of supplies and services for the Agency
Typical assignments include:
Performing pre-award, award, post-award, and close-out functions to support the regional mission.
Providing administrative coordination and oversight from "cradle to grave."
Negotiating with contractors to resolve problems concerning obligations of multiple parties.
Preparing requests for proposals (RFP) for negotiated acquisitions ensuring that all required terms, conditions, special provisions, item descriptions and regulatory/statutory requirements are included.
Preparing, summarizing, and issuing solicitation in accordance with current laws and regulations.Providing guidance to stakeholders involved in the development of statements of work, performance work statements, or technical specifications.

Every FEMA employee has regular and recurring emergency management responsibilities, though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites.
All positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official position description.
Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.
