As the Technical Applications Engineer reporting to the Head of Packaging Management, you'll play a key role in supporting technical initiatives for new product development, innovation, process optimization.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Applies engineering, design, process knowledge to the development of new products pertaining to ISBM – IM-Pre and SBM technologies
  • Provides engineering leadership and support to process techs for ISBM, and related innovation, process improvements
  • Responsible for utilizing DOE, Statistics, process development
  • Supports technical project development with a team player attitude working with Packaging Managers, Process Techs, and QA
  • Learns Technical feasibility analysis and platform selection in ISBM
  • Understanding of New Mold Qualification and Validation, including AQP (Alpla Qualification Process), Mold Vendor Qualification, coordination with operations, data analysis and validation
  • Understanding of new ISBM technologies and related equipment. Resource for new technologies, innovations and process development methods
  • Works with the supervision and coaching of Technical Applications Manager, and learns to support sales from Technical perspective
  • Technical Resource for raw materials, additives, Materials

Education / Experience

  • 4 year technical/Engineering degree
  • Min 3-5 years experience in Packaging field

Skills

  • Skilled in basic ISBM processes
  • Engineered DOE, Statistics – Regression, ANOVA Methods
  • Excellent reputation for building relationships, organized, on-time, and detailed skills
  • Empathy for Sales team, communicate with situation based self awareness. Able to look at the big picture and balance details
  • Thorough understanding of ISBM designs and concepts
  • Understanding of Mold components, Mold design, ISBM construction
  • Excellent Project Management Skills - proven ability to complete projects on-time and within budget
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Possess excellent analytical problem solving and trouble-shooting abilities
  • Travel up to 30%
