The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Administrative Support Assistant to the Force Structure; Requirements, Resources, and Strategic Assessment Directorate (J8); providing a wide variety of administrative support functions, word processing, and clerical duties on behalf of the directorate.



Duties
  1. Serves as an Administrative Support Assistant for the J8 Directorate Team consisting of Joint Military, Civilian, and Contractor personnel which form four Divisions: Program Analysis and Evaluation (J-8A/ PA&E); Operational Test and Evaluation (J8-O); Programming (J8-P); Requirements (J8-R); and Strategic Planning (J8-S).
  2. Functions as a J8 Lead Defense Travel Administrator (LDTA). Coordinates development of traveler profiles, organizational data, reporting, budgetary, and document flow procedures for DTS.
  3. Establishes, develops, and maintains office support procedures and requirements.
  4. Independently notes, tracks, follows-up on commitments made at meetings and conferences by staff members, and maintains calendars, coordinates meeting arrangements, and/or schedules meetings and/or conferences.
  5. Incumbent is responsible to ensure the core classified national information protection security disciplines of information are fully covered from a policy and programmatic viewpoint to ensure overall information protection requirements meet mission requirements.
