Optical Engineer

(U) Responsibilities include providing engineering support on systems, system elements, components, devices and/or processes; applies engineering disciplines to support design, development and implementation activities; reviews, evaluates and analyzes equipment, components, engineering documents, test plans, test data and procedures; conducts installation and maintenance of systems/equipment and provides associated training to customer personnel.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to success
U) The position shall require a BS degree in Optical engineering or Physics or related field along with 2- 10 years of experience.

Services shall reflect in-depth knowledge of the principles of DC circuit troubleshooting and repair, electronic test equipment operation (Oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, multi-meter ...)
; familiarity with optical physics, radiometry, ENVI image processing software and spectroscopy; strong programming skills in one of the following languages:
IDL, MATLAB, Python, Java, C/C++

Full-Time Salary Range:
$ $215270
Please note:
This range is based on our market pay structures.
However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to:
business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
