Job Description

  • Financial Analysis & Reporting: Prepare, report, and analyse cost information and related KPIs, providing sound guidance to business stakeholders.
  • Forecasting & Variance Analysis: Assist with operating cost forecasting, management, and variance analysis to ensure alignment with budgets.
  • Cost Improvement Recommendations: Analyse complex financial data to identify trends and make recommendations for cost improvements.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with different business units to understand operating cost recognition policies and contribute to best practices.
  • Data Accuracy & Compliance: Maintain data accuracy, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Process Innovation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify innovative ways to enhance existing OPEX processes and systems.

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified accountant or qualified through relevant experience in an accounting role.
  • Previous experience in finance, accounting, or a related field with relevant industry experience in operating cost management.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting, financial reports, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience in managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and financial systems/tools such as SAP/Oracle (experience in MS NAV and SAP BPC preferred).
