Overview

is seeking a DevOps Engineer to help us build and deploy resilient software that solves intriguing problems. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for building and supporting deployment and operations infrastructure. This individual will create the systems necessary to build, test, and deploy software into scalable, reliable, and secure application environments effectively and efficiently. They will be capable of engaging with projects of varying sizes at any stage in the software lifecycle.

What you will do

  • Work closely with software engineering to define and build tooling and automation that simplifies and supports the software development lifecycle, encourages best practices, and smooths the transition to production deployment.
  • Build infrastructure as code to ensure consistent and reliable management of application environments.
  • Provision cloud-based infrastructure used to deploy, manage, and scale software applications.
  • Design, build, and support efficient CI/CD pipelines.
  • Maintain system stability while facilitating a steady flow of software updates and feature deployments.
  • Build and manage log and metric capture and analysis systems.
  • Optimize system deployments to balance performance, cost, and security concerns.
  • Develop system monitoring and alerting capabilities.
  • Manage and monitor system access controls and authorization mechanisms.
  • Perform systems administration to ensure operating systems, tools, and software remain up-to-date, functional, and secure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system alerts, failures, and operational inefficiencies.
  • Support system and software testing and debugging.
  • Manage day-to-day system operations.

What you need to have

  • 10+ years of DevOps experience
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • 3+ years working with Kubernetes or equivalent application platform
  • Knowledge of DevOps, DevSecOps, and best practices
  • 3+ years working with AWS constructs, at least one major severless application architecture/deployment. More than simply "experience building EC2s," candidate has experience and knowledge around
  • Familiarity in Big Bang and Crossplane is preferred.
  • Candidates should possess a developer-first mindset, and have the ability to code.

What we'd like you to have

  • Familiarity with AI/ML tooling (Kubeflow, Sagemaker)
  • Familiarity with \"big data\" tooling (Hadoop, Spark, RedShift, HDFS)
