Position Summary:

The Systems Test Engineer plays a pivotal role in leading teams focused on Application, System, and Integration Testing. This position is essential for conducting evaluations across the National System of Geospatial-intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-intelligence (ASG), and various Federal Agencies, ensuring the delivery of timely and precise GEOINT.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Mentor and guide junior system engineers in their testing and evaluation efforts across NSG, ASG, and Federal Agencies.
  • Conduct testing of applications and APIs within DevOps pipelines, adhering to quality assurance standards set by both government and industry best practices.
  • Execute independent integration testing on system software or hardware to verify compliance with specified requirements.
  • Design and implement both manual and automated test scripts utilizing various scripting and programming languages.
  • Assist in technical investigations for defects identified during testing activities.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM field, or equivalent experience as a Test Systems Engineer.
  • Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools.
  • Experience with traditional, Agile, and DevOps development methodologies and their associated testing strategies.
  • A Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM field.
  • Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering, including processes, tools, and languages.
  • Understanding of Software Development Frameworks.
