A Ph.
D. in a humanistic discipline is required to teach in all Humanities Core sequences. A minimum of one year of experience teaching at the university or four-year college level is required.


Responsibilities include preparing and teaching seminar-style courses, holding regularly scheduled office hours, the preparing and grading of assignments and testing materials, and attendance at regularly-scheduled instructional staff meetings.

Depending on curricular needs, successful candidates may be offered between one and four classes in an academic year. In , the minimum per-course salary was $7,538. This position is not benefits eligible.
