JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

The Bucks IU Behavior Analysts are responsible for providing services such as functional behavioral assessment, positive behavior support, data analysis, classroom consultation, and staff training. They implement evidence-based practices to address students' learning and behavioral needs in IU programs within Bucks County.

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct functional assessments (FBA)
  • Prescribe positive behavior support plans based on FBA
  • Prescribe progress monitoring systems
  • Provide staff training on interventions and progress monitoring
  • Model and provide feedback on procedures
  • Consult with classroom teachers on IEPs
  • Attend IEP meetings for students with PBSPs
  • Assist classroom staff in summarizing progress monitoring data for reports and IEPs
  • Use designated systems for IEP documentation
  • Provide phone support during crises

Other Duties: Additional duties may be assigned as needed by the department Administrator to meet organizational needs.

Supervisory Responsibility: No direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment: The work environment may require accommodation for individuals with disabilities. Moderate noise level.

Physical Demands: Includes sitting, walking, reaching, talking, standing, lifting weights, and specific vision abilities.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Occasional evening/weekend work may be needed.

Travel: Travel throughout the district may be required.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree with BCaBA certificate or Master's Degree with BCBA certification preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Work with diverse learners
  • Implement IEPs accurately
  • Follow classroom schedule
  • Provide direct support
  • Effective communication with team members and parents

Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable): U.S. work authorization required.
