Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following:
Provides support to the Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) program.
Serves as an expert in the use of TSCM equipment and technical and electronic countermeasures.

Serves as an integral member of the Pentagon law enforcement team by applying investigative knowledge, skills, and abilities and technical expertise in the use, operation, modification, and maintenance of technical surveillance equipment.

Responsible for employing forensically sound methodologies to extract, manage, interpret, and analyze digital evidence from a host of information systems; including but not limited to, cellular telephones, personal digital assistants, and computers and network devices.

Serves as an expert in the use of technical and electronic countermeasures.

Conducts technical investigations in a manner meeting legal and procedural requirements involving cyber technologies including computer networks, information systems, and digital media.

Conceptualizes and implements procedures for operational integration of other intelligence disciplines such as Measurement and Signatures Intelligence (MASINT) and Communications Security (COMSEC) into non-standard TSCM missions and support requirements.

Serves as a technical authority for planning and preventive actions from hostile intelligence and terrorist activity.
Assists with the development of security policies designed to evaluate and identify vulnerabilities in existing technology and systems.
