Job Description

About this role:

PartnerRe is a leading player in the Surety reinsurance sector in North America and globally. We excel in customer service, technical underwriting, and providing optimal solutions for clients.

In this leadership position, you will oversee Surety North America (NA) under the Head of Financial Risks, based in various US and Canada offices like Stamford, Miami, Charlotte, Minneapolis, or Toronto.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Execute PartnerRe's underwriting strategy, manage client relationships, and build a profitable portfolio in North America
  • Achieve profitable new business and enhance PartnerRe's market presence
  • Foster a high-performance culture and client-centric decision making within the team
  • Represent PartnerRe at industry events and reviews
  • Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines
  • Collaborate with other departments for a consistent approach
  • Handle administrative tasks and assess market developments

Qualifications

About you:

  • Minimum 10 years of underwriting experience in North American Surety
  • Demonstrated portfolio management and optimization skills
  • Strong market understanding and trend analysis abilities
  • Experience in diverse environments with excellent negotiation skills
  • Proven track record of meeting targets
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Powerpoint, and Salesforce
  • Willingness to travel and openness to new technologies
