Job Description

AECOM is seeking to hire a Civil Engineer to help support projects throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Job Description

  • Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
  • Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
  • Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
  • Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
  • Identifies discrepancies in results.
  • Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
  • Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design

elements for engineering works.

  • Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Requirements

  • Oregon Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain registration within twelve months
  • Experience preparing major components of highway improvement project package
  • Ability to use Microstation, InRoads, AutoCad, or Civil 3D for design and plan production
  • Proven ability to work cooperatively with a project team
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Design Build experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The pay scale based on related project work, years and career experience ranges from $70,000 to $129,000.
