Summary

This vacancy is for an IT Specialist INFOSEC in the Office of the Secretary within the Department of Commerce.



Duties

As an IT Specialist INFOSEC, you will perform the following duties:

  • Track the implementation of Continuous Diagnostic and Mitigation (CDM) and Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) progress and implementation for the Department. Includes the integration of CDM solutions, tracking acquisition and license renewals and implementation of capabilities which satisfies the requirements of a ZTA outlined in OMB M-22-09.
  • Brief key stakeholders on results of assessments and assisting with the development of mitigation strategies as necessary and conducting authorized exchanges of security-related intelligence or information.
  • Ensure OCIO interests are coordinated across the U.S. Government by representing the Department and OCIO on working groups.
  • Formulate proposals to change policy where the impact has been determined to be detrimental to organizational programs.
  • Evaluate programmatic problems and recommends changes to existing procedures and workflow.
  • Develop effective and efficient internal management controls and administrative processes to effectuate the resolution of problematic issues.
  • Plan, organize, and lead standing and ad hoc teams in efficient preparation, defense or review of program schedules, documentation, execution, or modification in all phases of assigned programs.
