Job Description

The Business Development Specialist will drive our global strategy and success plan for a Strategic Channel Partner, at the local branch level, across a focused section of the United States. This strategic plan will encompass alignment with both Motorola Solutions and Strategic Channel Partners' local team members, engagement with sales branches and offices, and enablement of front line sellers to drive growth and success for the Partner with the Motorola Solutions ecosystem

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate, collaborate, and implement comprehensive channel partner development strategies to increase channel partner engagement and sales performance within assigned territory
  • Enhance Channel Account Managers' partner development activities, including facilitating training, sales support, and other operational assistance
  • Forecast and drive a consistent and healthy sales pipeline for assigned territory
  • Quickly respond to escalated partner issues within assigned territory
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, competitor activities, and customer feedback
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with local partner colleagues
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to support partner activities effectively and address partner needs
  • Provide regular reports to senior management and recommend improvements to achieve sales targets

  • Proven track record of success in sales and/or marketing
  • Proven ability to build business relationships with channel partners, integrators, and 3rd party technology providers
  • Proven ability to understand and communicate the big picture while being detail-oriented about execution
  • Self-motivated, results-driven with a strong sense of urgency
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Able to navigate a highly matrixed organization and gain trust with leaders across multiple layers
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory by air and car

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 3+ years of related experience in the Video Security or Technology industry
  • Experience managing relationships and driving channel sales growth
  • Strong understanding of video solutions and surveillance camera technologies


Basic Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in one of the following: IT Sales, Video Security or Security Solution Sales
