About the Position:

As a Systems Administrator you will oversee the Bank’s internal network, placing an emphasis on information security and system availability. The primary responsibility of your role is the installation, support, maintenance, and monitoring of information technology systems, networks, and infrastructure. This is a highly visible position and requires the ability to interact within all levels of the organization. You are also on call for after-hours support in defined situations.

What You Will Do:

  • Installs, configures, and maintains VMware, Microsoft, and Linux servers and documents deviation from baseline configuration
  • Installs, configures, and maintains storage, firewalls, and networking equipment
  • Reviews device and application logs and identifies existing as well as potential issues, researches and recommends solutions
  • Administers enterprise applications, including Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, DHCP, and MS SQL
  • Maintains infrastructure security by patching, remediating vulnerabilities, and adhering to best practices
  • Maintains system availability, including redundancy, backups, and recovery
  • Recommends and leads software and hardware upgrades and/or replacement as necessary
  • Documents and maintains infrastructure diagrams and procedures
  • Remains knowledgeable about security threats and identifies potential vulnerabilities to management, communicates workarounds to employees when necessary
  • Provides escalated IT support to employees, contractors, and customers
  • Reports potential and real issues regardless of nature to management
  • Analyzes stated department needs to determine the most appropriate solution
  • Recommends and implements improvements to business processes/systems that support business objectives
  • Participates in business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing
  • Available to be on-call during off hours
  • Performs other duties as required

What We’re Looking For:

  • This position requires at least five years of relevant IT experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, Active Directory, SQL Server, and IIS
  • Knowledge of VMware
  • Knowledge of automated patching/updating software
  • Knowledge of data security and disaster recovery concepts and procedures
  • Knowledge of security tools, including application whitelisting, EDR, and SIEM helpful
  • Knowledge of Cisco/networking/IP concepts
  • Knowledge of Linux preferred
  • Understanding of firewall concepts
  • Planning, implementing, testing, and troubleshooting OS and network changes
  • Interpersonal skills to interact positively and effectively with team members and all levels of business users and management
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people
  • High degree of initiative
  • Capability of working under limited supervision
  • Ability to follow through with problem resolution quickly and communicate status throughout resolution cycle
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Ability to think through problems and explore solutions
