LINK Staffing Services has partnered with one of the largest international logistics providers to seek an Inventory Control Lead to join their team. The Inventory Control Lead plays an integral role by providing continuous improvement initiatives as it relates to inventory management.


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory data.
  • Responsible for classifying, labeling and warehousing all inventories for future use.
  • Identify overages, shortages, damages, and incompletes on all inventory levels.
  • Manage the day-to-day cycle counting, bin validation, and consolidation processes.
  • Perform and coordinate the cycle count process and complete daily physical and data entry audits.
  • Research historical movement of inventory in WMS to resolve discrepancies.
  • Review needed stock adjustments consistent with SOPs and/or management as required, and once aligned with management, perform the physical and systemic adjustment in the WMS and notify parties of all adjustments.
  • Ability to supervise and lead a team.
  • Perform regular audits of the standard procedures.
  • Identify deficiencies in quality and raise awareness within the facility management team of areas for needed improvement.
  • Supports the development of quality assurance strategies, processes, guidelines and control plans which assure quality and reliability of services provided to our customers.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or similar field strongly preferred.
  • CPIM (Certified Production & Inventory Management) preferred.
  • 2 plus years of experience in inventory control operations preferred.
  • Experience in a contract logistics warehouse environment is a plus.
  • 2 years of lead experience within a contract logistics warehouse preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills and advanced skills in MS Excel required.
  • Experience working in a high SKU, high volume distribution facility preferred.
  • Ability to quickly learn and gain knowledge with local WMS.
  • Prior training related to position is a plus.
  • Forklift and MHE certification is a plus.
  • Bilingual is a plus
  • Will be required to work 2nd Shift hours (4pm-1am).
