Job Descriptions

The selected candidate will provide the following deliverables / artifacts:

The role responsibilities are as follows:

  • Assist with other city projects as required in the event of a pause in the ERP implementation.
  • Provide project management support for ongoing IT initiatives as directed by the City Administrator and/or the City IT Director.
  • Successful Implementation: Implement the ERP system effectively and efficiently to replace the current system, enhancing the City's operational capabilities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Ensure all stakeholders are adequately informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the ERP implementation.
  • Budget Management: Manage the project budget to prevent cost overruns while maintaining project quality.
  • Timeline Adherence: Deliver the project within the designated 24-month timeframe, or within any extended period as required.
  • Organizational Change Management (OCM): Facilitate organizational change management to ensure a smooth transition and adoption of the new ERP system across all departments.
  • Develop a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, milestones, deliverables, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate and oversee daily project activities, ensuring alignment with the project plan.
  • Conduct and/or attend all ERP implementation-related regular and special meetings during the project, including reporting project status to the City Leadership Team. This will include attending bi-monthly Executive Steering Committee meetings.
  • Track project progress and make necessary adjustments to keep the project on track.
  • Conduct project close-out meetings to ensure all deliverables have been met and stakeholders are satisfied.
  • Document lessons learned and provided recommendations for future projects.
