Trucking Dispatcher

TranSouth Logistics is a trusted 3PL warehousing provider of customized trucking, warehousing, and delivery solutions to companies of all sizes throughout the Southeastern United States. We are seeking a Dispatcher to join our team in Braselton, GA  Responsible for dispatching a dedicated LTL (Less than Truckload) and TL (Truck load) fleet in a growing and dynamic operation. This includes planning, organizing, and executing a daily route plan scheduling multiple drivers across a multi-state geographic territory with hundreds of weekly pick-up and delivery points with the goal of meeting and exceeding customer expectations, maintaining a high efficiency level, hitting critical time targets, all within shipping regulations and compliance. The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment is critical. Superior communication skills are necessary. High advancement potential for the right candidate. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Daily route planning and sequencing of shipments 
• Work with Transportation Manager and Driver Lead to assign, schedule, and dispatch a dedicated driver fleet for pick-ups and deliveries 
• Communicate accurate and up to date information on ETAs, delays, and plan changes to drivers, customers, and team members 
• Ensures problem resolution; including identifying issues, applying critical thinking to determine the best course of action, and implementing solutions 
• Utilizes various transportation software systems to facilitate material movement, planning, and scheduling 
• Works directly with customers on the receipt and processing of transportation requests 
• Prioritize time sensitive deliveries 
• Responsible for accurate data capture and system entry 
• Assist Transportation Team when required  
• Adheres to all domestic shipping regulations and compliance 
• Ensures compliance with DOT regulations and established internal policies and guidelines. 
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned. 

Qualification Requirements  

Minimum Education:  

• Bachelor’s Degree 

Minimum Experience:  

• Two or more years’ experience in dispatching and logistics coordinating in the Transportation industry  
• Be assertive and proactive  
• Superior communication skills (both written and verbal)  
• Proficient in MS Excel  

Physical Demands:  

• Must be able to sit for extended amounts of time

• Must be able to handle a fast-paced / dynamic environment

• $500 SIGN-ON BONUS ($250 after 90 days, $250 after 180 days)
