We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive People & Culture Employee Relations Specialist to join the People & Culture Business Partnering team. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of employment laws and relations, excellent communication skills, and demonstrated ability to resolve workplace conflicts effectively.
Overview:
- People & Culture Employee Relations Specialist (Contractor)
- Duration: 3-6 months with the possibility of extension based on business needs and performance.
- Working hours: 15-20 hours per week
Role Objectives:
- Collaborate closely with P&C Business Partner and Legal teams to assist management with performance concerns, disciplinary action, and conflict management issues.
- Assists P&C Business Partner by taking on operational employee relations tasks.
- Act as a self-driven individual contributor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with answering employee questions and requests on an ad hoc basis.
- Advise leaders and employees on employee relations issues.
- Provide guidance and coaching to leaders on conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
- Compile demographic and other data for review by legal and other stakeholders.
- Develop and implement employee relations strategies and programs to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of employee relations cases, including performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions.
- Stay updated on employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Performs other related tasks based on business needs.
- No travel required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Employee Relations Specialist or similar role, with strong understanding of best practices and employment laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Familiarity with Workday is a plus.; not required just helpful
- HR Certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus; not required just helpful
