Equipment Technology Specialist

Job Description
The Equipment Technology Specialist will coordinate and expand the Company’s use of technology, including telematics and machine automation systems, to resolve product issues and provide solutions across the Company and to our customers.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Experience in telematics or technology in the heavy equipment industry
- Customer service experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of construction principles and computer networks
- Ability to organize workload, meet deadlines, and work on multiple projects
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) in a related field
- Valid driver’s license
WHEN YOU JOIN US, YOU WILL
- Gather and analyze technical/problem data
- Support service operations and coordinate with manufacturers
- Evaluate and improve branch service abilities
- Utilize connected services data to drive revenue
- Manage software and service subscriptions
- Support customers with subscriptions and connected services
- Promote telematics and connected services to maximize machine uptime
- Lead the use of connected services and telematics (e.g., CareTrack, ActiveCare)
- Consult with manufacturers and customers to optimize machine performance
- Maintain knowledge of grade control systems and integration
- Document, track, and support sales and product activities
- Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and safety standards
- Foster teamwork and address challenges proactively
- Promote safety and participate in company meetings
