POSITION DESCRIPTION
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Operations Manager
TITLE: Operations Manager/Director of Operations
DEPARTMENT: OPERATIONS
REPORTS TO: Company Owner
POSITION FOCUS
Plan and manage the warehouse operations and equipment rental logistics of SWTR to achieve customer (clients, employees, and owners) satisfaction and quality service while meeting/exceeding financial goals.
Position is responsible for short and long-term planning and day-to-day efficiency of the operations department, and all its related areas. Manages expenses within approved budget constraints. The major areas of responsibility/management include: warehouse organization, equipment maintenance, vehicle maintenance, event logistics and execution. Operations Manager is an essential member of the leadership team.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all functions in the Operations department, including warehouse operations and organization, equipment maintenance, truck fleet scheduled maintenance, equipment rental logistics to and from warehouse and event venues.
- Manages work load and work assignment to associates on a daily basis, using both manual and computerized methods. May need to fill in for various roles within the Operations department as the demands of business requires (Maintenance, driver, rental installer, warehouse roles).
- Coordinate the installation and tear-down of all event rentals in the most efficient and expeditious manner.
- Coordinate the dispatching of load-in and load-out to ensure that rentals are installed or taken down at the time requested in accordance with the event order.
- Schedule associates’ workload on a daily/weekly basis to meet the need of the operations.
- Resolve clients’ complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality.
- Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Ensures that the overall operation tasks are completed daily.
- Implement organizational procedures and training through the associates to ensure appropriate protection for clients, staff and company assets.
- Works closely with the sales and office teams to ensure efficient execution of the rental programs.
- Support and execute on the hiring, motivating and training of staff.
- Lead, train, cross train the warehouse team and the installer team.
- Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by ownership/management.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
- Travel required to participate in event set up and/or breakdown as deemed necessary.
- Contributes and maintains established information and communications in order to enhance company communications and operations.
- Provides assistance to other associates to contribute to the best overall performance of the company.
- Be well groomed at all times

- Reviews/approves Operations schedules weekly.
- Participates in team meetings as necessary.
- Prepares for the flow of the day including daily morning meetings to set up expectations.
- Review and plan daily/weekly.
- Maintain absenteeism/tardy policy.
- Be a leader and set an example to the associates by following all policies and procedures.
- Oversees the day to day operations of the Operations department

Excellent literacy is required. Must be able to both assimilate and generate explicit and concise documents for publication within our corporate environment.
Abilities
Lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying - must be able to accomplish any task required of associates within assigned department. Bending/kneeling - must be able to accomplish any task required of associates within assigned department. Mobility - must be able to accomplish any task required of associates within assigned department. Continuous standing -must be able to accomplish any task required of associates within assigned department. Climbing ladders up to approximately 6 feet. Driving a motor vehicle is required for this position.
Education/Formal Training
A four-year college degree or an equivalent in combined education and experience.
Experience
Previous experience in a related position with an event company or hospitality related organization a plus.
Material/Equipment Used
Must be able to accomplish any task required of associates within assigned departments.
Environment
Inside warehouse and office environment 85% of shift.
At event venue locations 10% of shift.
Driving a motor vehicle 5% of shift.
