Zanda is partnering with a New York based Series A Consumer Goods company. The business has assembled an incredibly impressive senior leadership team, and has just closed on a significant Series A round from high profile investors.
The business has developed a strong team but now needs to on-board an experienced Fractional Chief Financial Officer who can act as a strong co-pilot to the CEO in all areas of strategic planning, and ultimately lead in the successful Series B round likely to happen in the next 12-18 months.
What experiences you will gain:
- Lead on all fundraising activity including the production of all financial models, scenario planning, investor decks. Presentation, negotiation, and investor reporting directly with venture capital and private equity firms with an immediate focus on a successful Series A fundraise ideally with a US based investor.
- M&A/Business Development. Support the evaluation of M&A, commercial partnerships and other business development opportunities, including due diligence, negotiation, and execution of transactions / integration of acquired businesses.
- Researching and developing the longer-term investor network, providing the knowledge required to advise the business on the longer-term funding and exit options for the business.
- Be a key member of the Executive team, providing strategic guidance and support on financial and tax strategies. Interface directly with the Board, Audit and Compensation Committees of the Board, ensuring they have a clear sense of the overall financial health and potential risk areas of the company.
- Establish themselves as a strong “co-pilot” by supporting the CEO in strategic planning and driving the budget process, and delivery of the business plan.
- Leadership and development of a highly insightful and scalable finance function, able to inspire the strategic direction of the business.
What background should you have before you press apply
- Strong experience in Consumer Goods or Retail industries.
- Previously played a leading role in a Series A + fundraise, IPO, PE or Trade Exit.
- Strong exposure to US base venture funds.
- Strong academic credentials, including an MBA.
- CPA accounting qualification.
- Innovative, visionary thought partner with outstanding financial/business acumen and extensive qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
- Experienced with Board, Investor, and shareholder interactions.
- A proven track record of building a finance team successfully inside a fast-growing and entrepreneurial company, ideally combining learnings from larger company environments on best practice.
