General Role Description


Skilled equipment operators are the backbone of our operations and customer service. You will perform advanced demolition & civil operations using excavators, dozers, loaders, also including Brokk machines. Brokk machines are excavators that are operated via remote control. Brokks are predominately equipped with hydraulic breakers, crushers, or drum cutters to break apart or shave down rock & concrete.

You will be responsible for structural demolition of buildings, breaking out bedrock, achieving elevation/grade, excavating, trenching, etc. Equipment operators work closely with superintendents, project managers, contractors, and other members of the demolition team to ensure project completion according to specifications and safety standards.


General Role Responsibilities


  • Perform demolition / civil work in various environments, such as; commercial construction sites, industrial plants, hydroelectric dams, bridges, waste water treatment facilities, etc.
  • Operate equipment and maintain a safe work area in compliance with company safety policies and OSHA standards
  • Keep equipment clean, in good working order, and perform basic maintenance/troubleshooting on machinery
  • Handle materials as well as load and unload equipment
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals


General Role Requirements


  • Experience in operating demolition / heavy civil equipment, willing to learn how to operate Brokk machines or similar equipment.
  • Knowledge of structural demolition / heavy civil activities, with their associated techniques
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception
  • Knowledge of the machines and tools needed to successfully and safely complete projects
  • Work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong work ethic
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Willingness to travel, work overtime and weekends
  • Ability to work in various work environments that can include extreme temperatures, physical hazards, elevations, & noise levels
  • Live within 100 miles of Nashville, Tennessee
  • Clean criminal & driving record
