Candidates must be open to working onsite in the Schaumburg, IL area initially with hybrid options to be considered after the candidate is acclimated.


Position Overview

Our client is seeking a full-time Salesforce Operations Manager as an integral member of their team. This client is looking for a highly motivated and talented individual to be involved in both the technical and the strategic aspects of building, maintaining, and training internal staff and external stakeholders in an existing and newly built Salesforce instance.


Key Responsibilities:


Manage Salesforce Development, Maintenance, and Technical Support:

  • Serve as the company liaison with implementation partner for building and maintaining a new Salesforce environment.
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve technical issues in Salesforce regarding Flow, object/field maintenance, and grant and opportunity management.
  • Establish the data maintenance processes, including integration with a shared data warehouse.
  • Maintain operating procedures consistent with policies related to platform development and use.
  • User management & support- serve as a strategic partner across the company to help colleagues understand how Salesforce (and Salesforce-native software) can help them create efficiencies and leverage the platform.
  • Maintain the Salesforce bug and new feature board.
  • Create CEO and middle management dashboards with reporting.
  • Support continuous process improvement. Help us understand how we do things and how we can do them better to amplify our impact.
  • Offer strategic support in developing and implementing a plan to expand Salesforce integration to other companies acquired within the platform.


Guide and support new data projects:

  • Serve as a liaison and an implementation lead on all new projects with outside Salesforce and other technology vendors.
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal data projects.
  • Manage software test plans, including creating test cases and coordinating actual testing.
  • Build and maintain a working knowledge of CRM best practices, new Salesforce features, features of our data warehouse, and participate in relevant Salesforce online communities.


Training and culture:

  • Train staff---both onboarding and continuing education---to enhance skills, increase user adoption, and support successful change management across the organization. Teach best practices for using the platform across the company.
  • Work with the client’s staff to strengthen culture of data collection and Salesforce usage; help drive adoption across the team.


Experience, Qualifications, and Competencies

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience working with Salesforce
  • Knowledge of the Salesforce Field Service+, Enterprise Edition, Appointment Assistant, and CPQ and Restricted Use Licenses.
  • Formal certifications like Salesforce Certified Administrator, Advanced Administrator, App Builder, etc. are strongly preferred.
  • Experience preparing technical user guides and delivering training.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to translate technical requirements.
  • Excellent project management skills with attention to detail and commitment to follow-through
  • Systems thinker who can navigate the inner workings of a system and then zoom out to holistically understand how that system integrates into the larger whole of the organization.
  • Ideal candidates will have experience scaling Salesforce across multiple companies within a private equity roll-up framework.
