As we continue to grow and expand our market presence, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Retail to lead our sales team and drive our retail strategy.


The Vice President of Retail will be responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of COMPANY’S retail sales operations. This senior leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in sales management and a deep understanding of the marine industry. The VP will develop and implement sales strategies, create and maintain dealer networks, manage key accounts, and lead a high-performing sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.



Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive retail sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market share expansion.
  • Lead, mentor and manage the retail sales teams, providing guidance, support and performance management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including dealers, distributors and direct customers.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective promotional campaigns and sales materials that support retail sales efforts.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of sales training programs to enhance the skills and effectiveness of the sales team.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, preparing regular reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Manage sales budgets, forecasts and financial performance, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Represent COMPANY at industry events, trade shows and conferences to promote the brand and expand the customer base.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the marine or recreational products industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of boating products, market trends and the competitive landscape.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and adapt to different market conditions.
