We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead the successful implementation of a Data Lake solution on Microsoft Azure using Databricks for a key client. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to launch and ongoing optimization. This is a critical role requiring a blend of technical expertise, program management acumen, and strong communication skills, with a focus on data lake and BI reporting transformational initiatives.


Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and budget for a data lake and BI reporting transformation.
  • Develop a comprehensive project plan, including milestones, deliverables, and resource allocation, specific to building a Data Lake with Databricks on Azure.
  • Manage project risks and dependencies, proactively identifying and mitigating issues related to data lakes, BI reporting, and cloud implementation.
  • Facilitate communication between client teams, technical teams, and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding of data lake and BI reporting goals.
  • Track project progress, report on key metrics for data lake and BI reporting implementation, and ensure adherence to timelines and budget.
  • Manage and motivate project team members, ensuring clear task assignments and expectations, particularly for data lake and BI reporting tasks.
  • Monitor project performance and identify opportunities for optimization of the data lake and BI reporting processes.
  • Lead project documentation efforts, ensuring clear and concise documentation for future reference on the data lake and BI reporting solution.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in program management, preferably within the IT industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex data lake and BI reporting transformational initiatives on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of Agile project management methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage client relationships.
  • Experience working in a cloud environment (Azure a plus).
  • Prior experience leading data lake implementations and BI reporting projects is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (MBA preferred).
