Position: IT Fiscal/Accounting Specialist

Location: West Palm Beach, FL

Duration: 12 month contract to hire

Pay Range: $28-33/hr


Must Haves:

  • HS Diploma OR GED AND 2 years of college work/training
  • 1-3 years of experience in the below:
  1. Microsoft office; Excel, Word, Outlook
  2. Oracle (or similar ERP system) for invoice payment and processing
  3. Familiarity with purchasing concepts, accounting & budgeting principles, and reconciliations

Plusses: Inventory Experience


Day to Day:

Assist with processing requisitions for computer hardware and software, and hardware and software maintenance and renewal agreements. Work with vendors during the contract renewal process; compare information to the previous year and ensure accuracy of contract renewal information; and managing monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual receiving and payments.

Process all service requests submitted by Information Technology and other departments for peripherals, office equipment and supplies; and manage receiving and payments for expenses.

Assist with processing orders for cable services, cellular equipment and services, and telephony equipment and services; and managing receiving and payments for expenses.

Perform contract review and management activities to ensure compliance with PBSO Procurement, Legal and Accounting requirements.Assist with processing IT equipment and software agreements to include preparing agreements for signature, forecasting renewal costs, ensuring accuracy of information, and fulfillment of contractual obligations.

Assist with the monthly review of Information Technology expense trends used to assist with the annual Budget process.

Assist with managing all other receiving and payments for expenses incurred by Information Technology.

Assist with IT inventory management activities. Orders, issues and distributes inventory items; maintains records of issued items; receives, loads, unloads and assists with verification of delivered items; enters and maintains location and distribution information in applicable inventory management system(s); assists with annual IT Store inventory.

Distributes, mails, and/or files documents for assigned area of specialty.

Provide explanations and assistance to employees, vendors, and other customers, regarding Information Technology policies and procedures relating to an assigned area of work.

Assists in preparation or compilation of financial information in decision support to management; assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures relating to an assigned area of work.
