Comp Package: Starting salary of 40k based on skills and experience, Bonus, Full Benefits


Description: The Legal Assistant/Trust Claims Specialist will work with our team and conduct research using client depositions, client affidavits, records and reports, interrogatories, and more. With this information, a claim will be built and filed with the asbestos bankruptcy trusts.


Responsibilities for Legal Assistant/Trust Claims Specialist:

· Processing, drafting, and filing asbestos trust-related documents

· Submitting legal documents to the Asbestos Bankruptcy Court in a timely manner

· Reviewing and analyzing bankruptcy claims

· Must be able to communicate with the staff and stay organized

· Must be proficient in Microsoft (Word & Excel)

· Conduct research using client depositions


Requirements:

· Experience with claim filing preferred but not required.

· Experience in legal department or law firm related to area of practice preferred

· Must be able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines

· Strong oral and written skills

· Ability to work with all levels of staff

· Knowledge of Asbestos Trust electronic management systems preferred but not required
