The law firm of Luvaas Cobb, located in Eugene, Oregon since 1955, is seeking a highly motivated and organized Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive legal support to attorneys across a variety of practice areas. Experience with Estate Planning/Trust/Probate and/or Litigation would be helpful. You will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:


Scheduling appointments, meetings, and depositions

Direct contact with clients, assisting attorneys in handling their matters

Maintaining client files and ensuring accurate data entry

Drafting legal correspondence, pleadings, and motions

Electronic filing of documents

Preparing attorneys for hearings, trials, depositions and/or arbitrations/mediations


Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Proficiency in WordPerfect, Microsoft Word and Excel, and legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)

• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy
