We have an immediate opening for an Associate Product Manager in our Basic/Utility Bedding Division to be a part of our Innovation Product Solutions team in our Irvington, NY office. This will be a hybrid role with 2-3 days in the office. The prospective candidate must be well organized, detail oriented, and possess excellent PC skills (including Excel, Word & PowerPoint) and beginner to intermediate Adobe Illustrator skills. Salary is negotiable and based on experience.

 

Primary Role:

 

  • Responsible for initiating, overseeing and coordinating all efforts associated with the development of product, from ideation and design through to execution and delivery.
  • Be the central hub to coordinate all efforts between sales, design, marketing, packaging, sourcing, engineering, quality, planning and logistics.

 

Initiate Product Development:

 

  • Research, prototype and develop innovative, quality, competitive and performance home products
  • Draft and publish all tech pack and product specifications to suppliers from initial concept to final product, ensuring adherence to all aspects of the CHF standards and the customers’ expected level of quality.
  • Update Product Development WIP Tracker and Sample Trackers Weekly
  • Work on cost sheets and determine pricing for all products, ensuring that margin requirements of CHF and retail customers are met
  • Coordinate completion of all presentation materials, inclusive of sample preparation (pulling, steaming, tagging) costing sheets, design decks, and line lists for customer meetings
  • Responsible for Sample Closet organization which includes archiving development (samples, lab dips, strikeoffs, quality submits), pre-production submits for easy referencing. Ensure returned samples from photo shoots, customer meetings, etc are logged back into Sample Closet.
  • Manage and track all brand approvals of concept, PP and TOP product and packaging samples

 

Production Handoff:

 

  • Coordinate all aspects of program roll outs to include: factory selection, sampling, packaging, testing, profitability and time lines
  • Work closely with Production Operations Analyst to oversee aspects of production planning including: SKU Set up, packaging and labeling information and set up, vendor set ups, pre-production planning, purchase order execution and ex-country delivery dates
  • Create and manage all PP sample requests, comments, and approvals (color/print/fabric quality/cut and sew) – working with brand and sales as required
  • Ensure that all packaging requirements and POS requests are handed off to Marketing team. Including and not limited to all photo and/or color reference samples, specs/dielines, copy, etc.
  • Initiate social compliance audits and factory elevations for potential new vendors working with Production Operations Analyst for factory set up in system
