Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Business Analyst / Product Owner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in documenting functional requirements, writing clear and actionable user stories, and managing product backlogs. This role requires experience with complex business applications, particularly those related to business workflows and analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

Backlog Manager:

  • Manage the product and sprint backlogs, ensuring that prioritized user stories are delivered on time and meet project goals.

Facilitator:

  • Lead discussions, support the removal of obstacles, and keep the team focused and on track to meet deadlines.

Requirements Manager:

  • Oversee the entire requirements lifecycle, ensuring high-quality requirements are captured, refined, and delivered effectively.

Documentation & Requirement Gathering:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document detailed functional requirements.
  • Write clear, concise, and well-structured user stories that can be effectively translated to developers.
  • Ensure all documentation is thorough, consistent, and easily understandable by both technical and non-technical team members.

Backlog Management:

  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog to align with business goals and project timelines.
  • Translate business requests into epics, user stories, and tasks that can be efficiently executed by the development team.
  • Continuously refine and adjust the backlog based on stakeholder feedback and changing business needs.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with developers, designers, and QA teams to ensure that requirements are understood and implemented correctly.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.

Complex Business Applications:

  • Utilize your experience with complex business applications to drive the design and implementation of robust solutions.
  • Apply knowledge of business workflows, analytics, and insights to contribute to the development of applications that meet business needs.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Communicate progress, changes, and challenges to stakeholders effectively.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions to gather requirements and feedback.

Quality Assurance & Testing:

  • Collaborate with QA teams to ensure that developed solutions meet the documented requirements.
  • Participate in testing phases, including writing test cases and validating outcomes.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or in a similar role.
  • Proven experience working on complex business applications, particularly those involving business workflows and analytics.

Skills:

  • Strong documentation skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in writing clear and actionable functional requirements and user stories.
  • Experience managing product backlogs, epics, and user stories.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is preferred.

Tools & Technologies:

  • Familiarity with project management tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
  • Experience with workflow automation tools and analytics platforms is a plus.
