JOB SUMMARY
 Vaco Technology is currently seeking a Senior BI Developer (SQL BI / PowerBI) for a 3-6M C2H opportunity located in Irving, TX 75039 (2-days onsite [M / T] every other week). The Senior BI Developer (SQL BI / PowerBI) will be responsible for the current / future data warehouse, BI solutions, and data migration strategies. The Senior BI Developer (SQL BI / PowerBI) will design database architectures, data warehouses, data migrations, data marts, BI packages, and implement user reporting solutions. The Senior BI Developer (SQL BI / PowerBI) must possess a strong understanding of database methodology, data analysis, advanced SQL queries, ETL, and business intelligence applications.
  • Implement New BI / Data Warehouse Requirements - SQL / ETL / BI Tools / Database Development / Reporting
  • Interface with Customers / Technical Leaders - Identify Scope / Vet Requirements / Identify Effective Reporting Strategies / Identify Best Data Sources for Reach Report Field / Identify Risks and Constraints / Design Reporting Formats, etc.
  • Lead Internal Business Partner / External Third Party Team Meetings
  • Develop / Implement / Maintain ETL Solutions - Bringing New Data into Data Warehouse
  • Develop Optimized Database Design / Achieving Acceptable Performance - Tuning Views / Indexes for Proper Response Time, etc.
  • Develop New Capabilities / Architectures that Capitalize on Client Portal Development / Ad-Hoc BI Capabilities
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts / Data Engineers - Understand Data Requirements / Design ETL Solutions
  • Respond to Ad-Hoc Query Requests from Product / Vendor and Professional Services / Finance Departments
  • Perform Full Lifecycle Data Warehouse / ETL / Business Intelligence Solution Development / Maintenance
  • Perform Data Analysis - Determine Root Cause of Data Integrity / Quality Issues Identified via QA / Business Report Owners, etc. | Analyzing Data Sets (advanced)
  • Provide Guidance / Recommendations on BI Reporting Packages - Adjusting Systems / Processes to Prevent Issue Reoccurrence, etc.
  • MS SQL BI Stack (expert) - SSRS (Reporting Services) / SSIS (Integrated Service) / SSAS (Analysis Services)
  • Data Warehouse Solution Implementation - Developing SSAS / MDX (hands-on) for Implementations
  • Experience Supporting Month End Financial Reporting Process / Business Processes / Technologies
  • Effectively Communicating / Presenting to All Levels of Business - Explaining Complex Issues / Concepts in Simple / Understandable Language
  • Analyze / Resolve Complex Technical Problems - Data Load Issues / System Response Time / Business Rule Conflicts, etc.
  • Expertise in Identification of Business / Data Requirements - Converting into Conceptual / Logical Data Models
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Senior BI Developer (SQL BI / PowerBI) (5+ years) - SSIS / SSRS / SSAS (MDX) / PowerBI
  • SQL Server - Complex T-SQL Querying / Stored Procs / Functions / Triggers / Views, etc.
  • T-SQL Querying (hands-on / advanced) - Writing Complex T-SQL / Expertise Optimizing T-SQL for Performance and Efficiency
  • SSIS (Integrated Services) - Design / Develop / Maintain Packages to ETL Data from Various Sources | Optimize Packages for Performance / Scalability | Troubleshoot / Resolve Data Integration Process Issues
  • SSAS (Analysis Services) - Design / Develop Cubes / Data Source Views / Named Queries / Dimensions / Deploying SSAS Projects | Hands-on MDX Query Development to Create / Customize Cubes
