Windows System Administrator

Must Have:
- Must have an active Secret Clearance
- Must possess VMware Certified Associate (VCA) certification – need to be able to get VMware Certified Professional (VCP) within first 6 months in the role.
- Must have an IAT Level 2 Certification (Security+)
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in IT with at least 1 year in virtual server administration
- Experience with Active Directory (AD), clustering, Domain Name System (DNS), and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).
Day to Day:
- Manage and operate a virtualized Microsoft (MS) environment.
- Perform daily system checks, review and respond to events reflected in various management tools, and perform server patch management.
- Notify representatives of issues involving performance of the operating environment.
- Conduct system audit reviews and perform maintenance functions as required to ensure system health.
- Coordinate efforts with other work centers and personnel to resolve incidents or events related to systems and supporting infrastructure.
- Adhere to change control standards and procedures, problem resolution, and troubleshooting techniques, the use of remote server management tools.
