Position Summary

The Engagement Specialist connects with the digital community of planning stakeholders, developing, and sharing content, listening to customers in social media and other online channels, and engaging with them as an advocate and voice for the brand.

  • Content curated and created for digital channels is aligned with and supports content strategy.
  • Social Media campaigns drive positive ROI while also delivering learnings and opportunities for future campaigns and programs.
  • Content reach is maximized and opportunities to drive awareness, value, sales, and engagement are optimized and delivering on program and product goals.
  • Our presence in digital communities is a go-to resource for relevant, practical planning knowledge and expertise, and our channels are seen as critical venues for timely and relevant conversations related to planning and key planning issues.
  • A deep knowledge of customer needs, wants, and preferences informs communications and the continuous improvement of our social media strategy.
  • Priority messages, content, solutions, and perspective on critical issues and ideas are advanced through focused engagement and leveraged sharing across digital platforms actively helping set a positive narrative about the value of outcomes of planning.


Core Responsibilities

Content – Creating and curating engaging and innovative social content including micro content spanning video, audio, visual. Regular posting across all social channels, crafting and aligning messaging with content strategy, customer trends, and market changes to create interest and engage people. Develop and execute content that drives brand advocacy, positive reviews, and empowering recommendations among customers with focus on building value among current audiences and getting the attention of best prospects.


Paid Social – Execution of paid social media campaigns across all platforms. Integration of both everyday referencing (SEO) and Google Adwords (SEM) in connection with social network management. Partnering with colleagues to understand targeting and desired outcomes, providing recommendations for paid social, including but not limited to, key platforms and retargeting to boost results, gather learnings, and achieve outcomes.


Listening – Active listening to members of the social media community, customers, influencers, and priority content topics while keeping an eye on brand and relevant topic mentions. Using the ability to discern and determine what is most important to target audiences and align that with the organizational priorities in response and conversation. Use social listening to monitor positive/negative comments and topic trends, and strive to boost engagement, reply to questions, and resolve any potential conflicts with empathy. Stay up to date on new social /digital engagement opportunities, communication trends, and emerging platforms/platform changes.


Engagement – Responsiveness to inbound question/comments on social media content in coordination with customer service or other relevant teams when applicable. Consultation and collaboration on social media aspects of communications and marketing campaign plans. Creativity in developing methods for engaging and audience toward the success of a goal and building brand value. Relationship building skills with the community, and the target audiences. Representing the voice of the brand, engaging with customers and members to increase awareness, further the engagement portion of a broad customer retention and acquisition strategy while building customer loyalty. Establish and build strong future opportunity pipelines by following up on assigned data driven campaigns.


Communication – Active and leading on topics ideas and issues relevant to the social discourse in planning customers use creativity to communicate brand messages through socially relevant expression, including entertainment around shared human experience, native to social posts outreach discussion to push out legislative priorities for trans case studies, leading edge and practical every day content, learning and stories that position as a leader Engagement opportunities with members customers audiences and influencers to establish advance distinctive perspective increases interaction and visibility and reputation as a vital voice issues and ideas critical planning.


Reporting and Sharing - Reporting on all relevant social media goals, developing shareable reports that live with insights informed by data and understanding of audience and customers monitoring and analysis of a campaign, communications and engagement generated by and around Brand and products and potential leads created identifying opportunities to engage influencers to further organizational objectives and not sharing, custom insights and noticeable with colleagues


Requirements


Strong communicator a people person who is flexible, dynamic and engaging with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Combination of creativity and analytical, thinking when carry out work working a fast pace environment has the humor to quickly respond to comments with empathy and understanding while engaging audiences with interesting post and content.
  • Willing to take chances to test concepts, learn and develop unique and compelling, digital and voice.
  • Social, SEO and digital communication specialist with a track record of success working independently and collaboratively to engage audiences and report insights and findings.
  • Demonstrated experience with core social media platforms adaptive around changing technologies and processes.
  • Customer focused. Curious, always on the lookout for new things, company mentions, customer trends, and opportunities to engage. A passion for technology, a knack for leading, and sales skills that help engage communities in goals.
  • Strong individual contributor and team player with the ability to people and organizations models and effectively communicates, organizational values and priorities encourages partnership around shared goals.
