Release Coordinator

The Release Coordinator works both independently and collaboratively with the Product Support and Product Development teams to support our test and production environments. The position will work with the Software Confi guration Manager to facilitate the successful automation and scalability of continuous integration and continuous deployment. The position will work with the IT Manager on the confi guration, documentation, monitoring, and daily maintenance of infrastructure, as well as our networking infrastructure and web services, communicating with end users and integration partners as needed.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with development, quality assurance, DBA, and Product Support teams to understand release requirements and dependencies
  • Develop and maintain release plans and timelines
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks that may impact the release process
  • Schedule and coordinate release activities, including code deployments, database updates, and infrastructure changes
  • Communicate release schedules and ensure all parties are well-informed and aligned
  • Monitor the progress of release activities and address any issues that may arise
  • Coordinate with the QA team to perform regression testing and validation of the release
  • Oversee the deployment of software releases to production and other environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues in collaboration with technical teams
  • Implement rollbacks or additional changes if a release encounters unexpected problems
  • Work closely with product teams to understand their specifi c requirements and implement them within the CICD pipeline
  • Perform daily SCM tasks to support software development and testing e orts.
  • Develop and implement software confi guration management processes and best practices for the company
  • Identify and implement new or improved tools and processes to increase team effciency
  • Create and maintain documentation


Qualifications

  • Understand complex software engineering principles to be able to discuss with clarity pros/cons of various design/tool choices. Multitask, prioritize, show initiative, and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • A quick learner who understands the changing landscape with cloud providers and brings best practices back to the team
  • Intellectually curious, with a passion for continuous learning and growing professionally
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to quickly respond to critical problems
  • Maintain system environment by identifying requirements, installing upgrades, and monitoring performance
  • Knowledge of and experience managing Microsoft Windows Server 2016 and above and Hyper-V environments
  • Knowledge of GIT and a solid understanding of branching
  • Familiarity with SCM orchestration tools, including Team City
  • Familiarity with Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio
  • Knowledge of the travel and leisure industry
