Job Title: Director of Fiber Installation

Reports To: Chief Operations Officer


Position Summary:

The Director of Fiber Installation is responsible for overseeing all aspects of fiber optic installation projects within the company. This leadership role demands a strategic thinker with extensive experience in fiber construction, project management, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will ensure the successful execution of installation projects, from planning and resource allocation to implementation and quality control, while maintaining high safety and performance standards.


Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategies for fiber optic installation projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives and growth targets.

- Project Management: Oversee multiple installation projects simultaneously, managing timelines, budgets, and resources effectively. Ensure projects meet quality standards and comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

- Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of project managers, engineers, and installation technicians. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and professional development.

- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships and promoting customer satisfaction.

- Operational Excellence: Establish and maintain processes and best practices for installation methodologies, ensuring efficiency and reducing downtime.

- Safety Compliance: Ensure all installation activities comply with safety regulations and company policies. Promote a safety-first culture among all team members.

- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present regular reports on project status, performance metrics, and installation progress to senior management. Utilize data analytics to identify trends and areas for improvement.

- Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and meet financial targets.

- Technology Integration: Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to fiber optics to drive innovation and operational effectiveness within the organization.


Qualifications:

- Experience: 10+ years of experience in fiber optic installation or telecommunications, with at least 5 years in a management or director-level position.

- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of fiber optic technologies, installation techniques, and project management methodologies.

- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams—strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.

- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.

- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
