SUMMARY
The Regional Vice President - Texas will be responsible for the overall management, growth, and profitability of Rigid’s Texas region. This senior leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in the heavy civil/marine construction industry and an entrepreneurial approach to building and managing a business. The Regional Vice President will work closely with Rigid’s CEO, COO, and other executive leaders to ensure the Texas Market’s alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership and Strategy
- Lead with purpose, focused on building and retaining a strong regional execution team delivering high quality projects.
- Develop and implement the region’s strategic plan in alignment with the company’s goals and objectives
- Provide strong leadership to division managers and staff, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Operational Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Texas region, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
- Implement and monitor performance metrics to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Accountable for enforcing policy and procedures throughout the Texas region
- Drive operational excellence through process improvements, innovation, and best practices.
Financial Oversight
- Prepare and manage the region’s annual operational and business development budget, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Analyze financial reports, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance profitability.
- Ensure accurate forecasting and reporting of financial performance to the Rigid executive team.
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the region’s market presence and increase revenue.
- Possess, develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders for developing new opportunities and leads.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences to promote the region’s capabilities and achievements.
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure all operations comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Promote a culture of safety, ensuring all employees adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
- Address and resolve any compliance or safety issues promptly and effectively.
Team Development
- Work with corporate HR team to recruit, develop, and retain top talent within the division.
- Provide mentorship and development opportunities for managers and staff.
- Foster a collaborative work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Constructions Management, Business Administration or related field
- Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in the civil constructions industry with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects and driving business growth.
- Strong entrepreneurial background with startup and rapid growth organizations.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and P&L’s.
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
- Ability to travel as required.
