About the Company - We are partnering with our privately held client with Florida-based headquarters to hire for the role of Chief Financial Officer. A quick note, this position is based in the Central Florida area (Orange, Hillsborough, or Brevard counties)and will require the person to reside in the area locally.


About the Role - The Chief Financial Officer contributes to the organization’s success and growth by providing senior level planning and direction to the accounting and financial operations of the organization. This strategic role is responsible for the oversite of all accounting processes, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, debt, reporting, forecasting, and other financial functions within the organization. Primary skills and experience needed for success include demonstrated industry or related success and expert level knowledge in the execution and management of financial operations, strategy, and compliance.


Responsibilities -

  • Oversees the operations of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, and invoicing.
  • Establishes and manages processes for accounting policies and procedures; ensures a system of controls is in place over all financial transactions to minimize risk and maintain transparency.
  • Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.
  • Creates and provides reporting necessary to establish benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.
  • Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
  • Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Works with lenders to ensure covenants and reporting obligations are met.
  • Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit.
  • Files reports and ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.


Qualifications -

  • Degree in accounting, finance, or another related field
  • Preferred credentials include MBA, CPA and or CMA.
  • Has been in a senior finance position with an organization with annual revenue more than $100M.
  • Ideally, 10 years' staffing industry experience or previous experience in a heavily payroll driven environment.
  • Advanced experience in the staffing industry or a closely related fast-paced work environment that requires a high level of strategic support, attention to detail, and urgency.
