Overall responsibility and direct management of Trapani Radiation Shielding Engineering group who work directly with NELCO Operations staff designing a wide variety of radiation shielding solutions. Candidate will need to responsible for the development of radiation shielding and diagnostic shop drawings, manufacturing drawings and installation drawings. Responsible for management of time on shielding projects.


Specific Job Tasks include, but are not limited to:


  • Management and oversight of the Trapani Engineering Group, including assignment of projects.
  • Responsible for ensuring that
  • Direct oversight and management of the project backlog to ensure that timelines of deliverables in coordination with NELCO Operational requirements.
  • Attendance at project transfer meetings with the NELCO Team when projects are booked and transferred through the sales unit.
  • Review of project scope including budget and schedule with Trapani engineering staff when projects are assigned to ensure scope & budgetary requirements are met or exceeded.
  • Routine project reviews to ensure that project scope and requirements are incorporated.
  • Pricing and verification of all Engineering Change Orders in advance of work being performed.
  • Coordination of Scope & Staffing when required for Design Build projects.
  • Oversight of India operations including but not limited to the following: Training of India staff for various modalities required, assigning workload to NELCO India staff; review of output of India group to ensure accuracy and completeness of assigned work; Quarterly review of India operations to ensure
  • Review of shielding shop drawings, manufacturing drawings and installation drawings with Staff prior to submission to NELCO operations to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain and expand third party consulting relationships for Trapani Design Group.
  • Quarterly review of Staffing & Engineering operations systems and staffing to ensure assets are achieving maximum operational efficiencies.
  • Develop training & developmental program for the Trapani Engineering group.
  • Weekly and monthly financial project reviews to ensure profitability and operational performance goals are met.
  • Management & development of NELCO pre-sales materials as required to support NELCO sales staff.
  • P&L responsibilities for the Engineering group within Trapani Associates & Architects.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as required.

Prerequisites:

  • Degree in Architecture or Engineering, or 5-10 yrs. operational experience with managing Design & Architecture staffing.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of design & engineering disciplines, including but not limited to: Structural and Mechanical Design.
  • Thorough understanding of Revit, Inventor, AutoCAD, Excel, MS Word.
  • Fiscal management skills to effectively provide direction.
