Our client, a manufacturing company in the West Suburbs of Chicago, is seeking a driven and experienced HR Director to join their growing team As the HR Director, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing HR strategies.

The ideal HR Director will have exposure in an hourly-heavy environment with exposure in recruiting, onboarding, offboarding and the employee life cycle. They should be knowledgeable about payroll, benefits and employee relations. The ideal candidate will also possess exceptional communication skills.

HR Director Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives
  • Assist with onboarding, offboarding and training. Be the subject matter expert on all employee relations investigations
  • Provide guidance and support to supervisors and employees on HR-related matters for corporate and hourly employees
  • Implement performance management processes, including goal-setting, performance evaluations and career development plans
  • Manage open enrollment
  • Identify training and development needs, coordinate training programs and facilitate employee skill enhancement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with training requirements and regulations
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of employment laws, regulations and best practices


HR Director Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or a related field required
  • Ability to work fully in-person in the West Suburbs of Chicago
  • 8+ years of HR experience in an hourly-heavy, blue-collar environment (manufacturing, distribution, logistics, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
