TCI has an immediate need for an IT Support Technician in St Paul, MN. This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity. This is a long-term contract opportunity. SUMMARY


The Support Technician will provide comprehensive computer hardware and infrastructure support at a refinery or field locations. This position works closely with other information technology specialists, integrators, and supervision as applicable to ensure the computing environment, assets, and supporting architecture are reliable and secure while also ensuring adherence to corporate standards.


This position belongs to a family of jobs with increasing responsibility, competency, and skill level. Actual position title and pay grade will be based on the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process service desk tickets.
  • Provide direct customer support and on-going technology maintenance for both the Business and refinery environments.
  • Manage Workstation and related software.
  • Provide support for connectivity across the LAN/WAN.
  • Provide Application and network support.
  • Installs, maintains and supports all the field IT systems. Includes desktop and laptop computer hardware, Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and configuration; software installation, network and stand-alone printers, remote access, network switching and cabling, audio visual equipment, mobile devices support, Cisco telephones, radios, server computer hardware.
  • Creates and updates IT technical documentation as necessary.
  • After hours support when needed.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Windows 10/11, MS Office 2016/2019 or O365
  • 2+ years of experience working with network printers, workstations and related software, connectivity, server, backup, security, and other equipment-based IT support
  • 2+ year experience providing remote access, audio visual equipment, mobile devices support.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma.
  • Candidate must participate in On-Call coverage (Site is 24 x7 Operations).
  • Ideal candidate will have strong people skills coupled with being a self-starter.
  • Have a clean background with the ability to obtain a TWIC clearance.


DESIRED (PREFERRED) QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certifications Preferred: A+, Net+, MCITP.
  • Network experience is a plus.
  • Experience with network switched Ethernet cabling & AV (audio visual) equipment.
