Data Center Migration Program Manager

6-12+ month Contract-to-Hire

Remote with quarterly travel to Chicago


Our client is a leading technology and services provider world wide. They are looking to bring on a Program Manager who has experience overseeing the offloading tasks and activities associated with decommissioning of a Data Center.


Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for Migration, consolidation and decommissioning data centers across the organization.
  • Project Management: Lead end-to-end project management activities, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, budget management, risk assessment, and issue resolution.
  • Change Management: Develop and implement change management strategies to facilitate smooth transitions and minimize disruptions during the consolidation and migration of data centers.
  • Provide and support the Data Center roadmap by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress, reporting results; creating senior management presentations; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; adapting to competing demands, organizational changes and new responsibilities.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience (minimum 7 years) in executive-level program management roles, with a focus on data center consolidation, decommissioning, and migration projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Azure, with hands-on experience in deploying and managing infrastructure and services.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices, standards, and compliance requirements related to data center consolidation, migration, and cloud computing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
