Position Overview: As the Head of Data Science, you will oversee the development and implementation of our data science strategy, leveraging your healthtech expertise to solve complex problems and deliver actionable insights. Key Responsibilities:


  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the data science strategy aligned with company goals. Provide vision and direction for data science initiatives and projects.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data scientists. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of data science projects, from problem definition and data collection to model development and deployment.
  • Healthtech Expertise: Apply deep knowledge of healthtech to guide the development of solutions that address industry-specific challenges and opportunities.
  • Data Strategy: Define and implement data strategies, including data governance, data quality, and data integration.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, and business teams to understand requirements, translate them into data-driven solutions, and ensure successful integration.
  • Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data science and healthtech. Drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
  • Communication: Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership and other stakeholders clearly and compellingly.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master’s) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in data science, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Significant experience in healthtech is required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data science tools and technologies (e.g., Python, R, SQL). Experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, and data visualization.
  • Healthtech Knowledge: Deep understanding of healthtech data, including electronic health records (EHRs), claims data, patient outcomes, and clinical trials.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage a data science team. Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of developing innovative solutions to complex problems.
