Amylu Foods is a nearly 100-year-old Chicago-based sausage maker. A pioneer of chicken sausage using fresh, unique ingredients that you can see, we’re now an established leader in the category. The company emphasizes controlled manufacturing practices (small batches, hand-crafted products), uses simple, clean ingredients in its products and maintains an innovative and robust new product development pipeline - constantly developing and introducing new healthy, cutting-edge products that appeal to both top chefs and consumers. Amylu is currently in the process of rapid growth and are expanding our offerings to include delicious new product lines made with Organic and Antibiotic free meats, fresh vegetables, natural cheeses, and creative spice blends.
Amylu Foods is seeking an experienced Social Media Manager to develop, oversee, and deploy our brand presence across social channels. As the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for executing social media strategy that engages and fosters a sense of community via our online social channels, bringing our followers closer to our brand and the products they love. You will own day-to-day management of all social media platforms, including planning, scheduling, posting, analyzing, and reporting on all social content. We are seeking candidates who will innovate Amylu’s social presence through a digital-first lens. You live and breathe social media and bring bold, fresh, creative ideas by connecting food trends, pop culture, and audience behaviors with our brand. This position will be responsible for developing an internal social media team as we continue to grow our brand.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day execution of our social media strategy, including scheduling, posting, and community managing on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest and LinkedIn, while monitoring and reporting out on other emerging social platforms with intent to grow flower base and brand presence.
- Build and oversee the content calendar to plan optimized content for each platform.
- Act as community manager across all platforms, promoting positive brand conversation and engagement and addressing complaints per consumer care protocol.
- Develop and continually evolve social media strategy to align with broader marketing campaigns, business goals, and department KPIs.
- Day-to-day management of social agency partnership for content creation and paid social efforts.
- Collaborate with external content creators to proactively develop and deliver best-in-class social content including, but not limited to, images, videos, cinemographs, GIFs, Instagram Stories and more.
- Keep informed of social trends, new platform features and best practices, and provide channel and community insights with actionable next steps on an ongoing basis.
- Develop deep understanding and ownership of brand voice and knowledge while building a strong relationship with our target audience.
- Oversee influencer marketing efforts to select partners, develop content, and analyze results.
- Experience negotiating and reviewing influencer contracts, partnerships and deliverables.
- Manage monthly product seeding/gifting and build brand ambassador program.
- Coordinate monthly co-branded partnerships.
- Play an active role within the larger marketing team and process, representing the voice of Amylu’s online customer community while also providing as-needed, ad-hoc marketing communications support.
- Deliver monthly analytics reports to Marketing Director.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Deep understanding of and passion for ever-evolving social media landscape (including, but not limited to, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook)
- Strong understanding of social analytics and listening platforms
- Experience developing an influencer program.
- Experience with advertising APIs on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and emerging platforms.
- Experience writing creative briefs and giving constructive feedback to creative professionals.
- Excellent copywriter with the proven ability to be concise, yet impactful in brand voice.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to develop and present quantitative analysis and insights to management.
- Quick learner, logical thinker, and team player
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, high-growth work environment, adapting to ambitious project timelines.
- Desire to develop and lead a social media team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or related field
- 5+ years of CPG/Food Brand social media experience.
- In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms and their best practices
- Proficient in Social analytics and reporting tools.
- Creative thinking with ability to adapt quickly to evolving social trends.
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience developing and implementing organic and paid social media strategy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Photography / videography experience
- Strong leadership and team management skills
