The Outside Sales Representative is accountable for all sales activities, from lead generation through delivery of product. Each sales representative is assigned a territory in which they execute a formal selling approach. We are looking for dedicated sales team members to drive the brand in their territory, build partnerships with existing customers, hunt for new customers, and complete large project quotes. Must be able to work with general contractors, construction teams, and Division 10 installers. This role develops and implements an agreed upon Sales Plan which will meet both personal and business goals of expanding customer sales in the assigned geography. We are a leading manufacturer of Bath Enclosures and Shower Doors for the Residential and Commercial building industry. This person will work closely within the sales and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, customer partnerships, and long-term account goals in line with company business strategy. Travel within the assigned territory with overnight stays is required. Must be able to identify new opportunities through customer acquisition processes and familiar with CRM activity reporting.


As a member of the Sales Team, they will be responsible for leading and managing the sales strategy across multiple customer types including contractors, installation experts, wholesale, and large national accounts. This role will involve developing and executing sales plans to achieve company revenue targets, building strong customer relationships, and leading a dynamic sales team. Winning will include development of relationship and partnership selling with clients buying on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the building materials industry and a proven track record of driving sales growth.

Position Description

Representative will be expanding company’s presence in the Midwest territory by contacting existing and prospective clients. Due to traveling should reside in Indiana, Illinois, or Ohio are strongly encouraged to apply.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Traveling throughout Midwest will be necessary.
  • Overnight travel required.
  • Shower door industry experience definitely A PLUS
  • Building Materials sales experience
  • Minimum of 2 years sales experience, preferably as manufacturing representative.
  • Knowledge of products in the building industry.
  • Proven customer service and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.


Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Call and visit current and potential customers.
  • Create and follow up on any existing leads.
  • Utilize available resources to reach out to prospects and attempt to turn them into customers.
  • Utilize CRM software
  • Able to use key programs to build out quotes and specifications.
  • Experience with excel, CRM, outlook, route planning programs, and quoting programs.
  • Resolve customer and end user complaints.
  • Assist in preparation of annual sales plan.
  • Prepare letters, proposals and other correspondence to current and potential customers.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to customers’ sales and door installation staff.
  • Attend industry trade shows to accumulate new leads.
  • Analyze sales and generate weekly reports for management.
  • Collaborate with management to improve marketing materials and expand company’s presence in the Midwest territory.
  • 65% to 75% of time will be traveling and visiting customers.
