We are working with our client, Acadia Benefits, a locally-owned Maine benefit brokerage and consulting firm, in seeking a full time Large Groups Benefits Analyst based in their downtown Portland, Maine office to become part of our passionate team of professionals.


This is a technical, non-customer facing, role providing collaborative support to internal teams by preparing and analyzing benefit plan options for large customers. Maintaining relationships with insurance carriers to compile data for new or renewal policy proposals.


This position offers career advancement opportunity into further client support and account management.




Requirements of the Large Groups Benefits Analyst:

  • Understanding of insurance terminology is a plus
  • Previous experience as an insurance underwriter or report writer/analyst helpful
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Microsoft office suite experience with strong excel and mathematical skills
  • High degree of analytical skills, attention to detail and must be self-directed.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
