Job Title: Data Analyst II

Portland Public Schools (PPS) is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst II to join our team. As a Data Analyst II, you will be responsible for conducting complex data analysis and reporting to support district programs and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends and patterns.
  • Develop and maintain databases, queries, and reports to support data-driven decision making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement data visualization tools and dashboards.
  • Provide training and support to district staff on data analysis and reporting.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data analysis and reporting.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Cognos.
